Service Description
Epoch provides methylation tests that estimate your biological age based on epigenetic markers. This service is offered for entertainment and informational purposes only.

How the Service Works
Step 1: Purchase
You provide billing information and a recipient address (email or physical mailing address).
Step 2: Code Delivery
We generate and send a unique redemption code to the specified recipient address.
Codes are transferrable to any person
Can be redeemed for one (1) sample collection kit and processing
Has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money
Step 3: Code Redemption
The code holder provides a shipping address to receive a collection kit.
Step 4: Kit Fulfillment
Due to laboratory requirements, there may be a delay between code redemption and kit shipment. We will provide estimated shipping timelines at redemption.
Step 5: Sample Processing & Results
Return your sample using the provided materials. Results will be accessible via your unique code.
Refund Policy
Service Delivery Guarantee
Refunds are provided only when Epoch is unable to deliver the service. We reserve the right to cancel orders and issue refunds at our discretion for operational reasons.
Refund-Eligible Circumstances (Epoch-Initiated):
- Sample quality issues — sample is degraded, insufficient, or otherwise unsuitable for testing
- Lost or damaged shipments — kit or sample lost in transit or arrives damaged beyond use
- Logistics or operational delays — unforeseen circumstances preventing timely service delivery
- Laboratory errors — processing failures or technical issues on our end
- Service discontinuation — if we are unable to continue offering the service
Refund Terms:
- Refunds are issued to the original purchaser only
- Refunds will be processed within 14 business days to the original payment method
- Epoch will notify the purchaser if a refund is being issued and the reason
Non-Refundable Circumstances:
- Customer-initiated cancellations — change of mind, no longer wanting the service
- Dissatisfaction with results — unhappy with biological age estimate or report content
- Failure to return sample — sample not returned within 90 days of kit receipt
- Unredeemed or expired codes — codes not redeemed within the validity period
- Incorrect shipping information — customer-provided address errors
Note: All sales are final once the service has been successfully delivered. By purchasing, you acknowledge that refunds are not available for customer-initiated requests.

Processing Delays
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Kit shipment may be delayed to allow for sample batching
- We will communicate expected timelines but do not guarantee specific delivery dates
- Delays in kit shipment do not entitle you to a refund, provided the service is ultimately delivered
Limitation of Liability
- We are not liable for any decisions made based on test results
- We are not liable for codes that are lost, stolen, or transferred
- Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the service
Privacy
Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Notably:
- Test results are stored with your unique code only—not your name
- We do not link billing information to test results
- We do not share genetic information with third parties without consent
Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be:
- Modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or
- Severed from these Terms if modification is not possible
The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect and shall not be affected, impaired, or invalidated in any way. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent of the parties.
